Description
World Class Defence Organisation based in Bristol is currently looking to recruit an ADA Software Engineer subcontractor on an initial 6 month contract, with very likely extension. The role will be onsite 4 days per week. A 4 day working week is OK (Monday to Thursday).
Rate: £70.00 per hour
Overtime Rate: Hours worked over the standard 37 hours per week, will be paid at ‘time and a quarter’
Location: Bristol
Hybrid / Remote working: The role will be onsite 4 days per week. A 4 day working week is OK (Monday to Thursday).
Duration: 12 Months with very likely extension. Contracts are often ongoing and long-term thereafter.
IR35 status: Inside IR35 (Umbrella)
Interview process: One stage video interview

Responsibilities:
- To undertake a full range of engineering activities in line with relevant processes, quality and other requirements.
- The role will involve Ada code development and verification.
- The role will involve software V&V, primarily using target-based equipment containing the software under test and complex simulations of other Missile subsystems.
- Experience of both UML (Rhapsody) and Ada (AdaCore).
- Knowledge of DOORs and IBM Config Management tooling (EWM) would be useful.
- Suitable skills and experience in Integration testing and debugging.
- Experience of working in High Dependability systems would be beneficial.
