Afterschool Educator

Friends of Waldorf-Steiner Education Galway is seeking a warm, enthusiastic and dedicated Afterschool Educator to join our afterschool team, with an immediate start available. We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with children and interested in supporting a nurturing, creative and child-centred environment inspired by Waldorf-Steiner education. The ideal candidate will have:- A minimum QQI/FETAC Level 5 qualification in Childcare (or equivalent)- Experience working with school-aged children- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills- A sincere and genuine love of working with children- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team- An interest in creative, child-centred approaches to education and careThe following would be an advantage:Familiarity with, or an interest in learning about, Waldorf-Steiner educationSkills or experience in areas such as art, music, crafts, storytelling, yoga, outdoor education, or other creative disciplinesCurrent First Aid certificationAdditional requirements: Garda Vetting will be required for the successful applicantSalary: Salary is negotiable and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.To apply: Please send your CV and a brief cover letter outlining your interest in the role to [email protected] look forward to hearing from candidates who share our commitment to providing a nurturing and enriching environment for children.
