AI Engineer

Salary: £90,000 - 120,000 per year

Requirements:

• Commercial experience designing and building AI, machine learning, or generative AI applications
• Strong Python engineering skills and experience developing production-grade software
• Hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services, and Azure Machine Learning
• Knowledge of modern AI frameworks such as LangChain, Hugging Face, or PyTorch
• Deep understanding of LLMs, RAG architectures, vector databases, prompt engineering, agentic AI, and multi-agent systems
• Experience deploying, monitoring, and optimising AI solutions in production environments
• A builders mindset and passion for solving complex technical challenges from first principles
• Ability to commute to a London office once per week
• Desirable: experience with AI orchestration and workflow frameworks
• Desirable: knowledge of knowledge graph or semantic search technologies
• Desirable: experience with model fine-tuning and evaluation
• Desirable: knowledge of MLOps, CI/CD, containerisation, and cloud-native deployment practices
• Desirable: experience developing autonomous agents and reasoning systems

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop agentic AI systems capable of autonomous decision-making and task execution
• Build LLM-powered applications, orchestration frameworks, memory architectures, and tool-use capabilities
• Develop custom AI workflows using large language models, retrieval systems, and multi-agent architectures
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to embed AI into real-world business processes
• Contribute to the architecture and evolution of our proprietary AI platform in a greenfield environment
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and help shape technical direction and best practices
