AI Platform Staff Software Engineer

Shape AI platform architecture with Python, MLflow, and Kubernetes from Vancouver, with onsite collaboration required three days weekly.

This Staff Software Engineer serves as the technical anchor for machine learning initiatives and long-term product architecture. You will own the path to production for models, enabling Data Scientists to deploy, monitor, and version systems. The position also supports language detection, sentiment analysis, and machine translation infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own production frameworks for machine learning models
• Use MLflow and Kubernetes for model operations
• Partner with Product Owners and Data Scientists
• Evaluate technical feasibility of AI initiatives
• Drive technical debt reduction across engineering

Requirements:

• 12+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong Python expertise across advanced concurrency
• Experience supporting high-concurrency distributed systems
• Mentorship experience with Senior-level engineers
• Familiarity with Kubernetes or OpenShift orchestration
