Android Developer

Salary: £45,000 - 55,000 per year

Requirements:

• Around 2–5 years of commercial Android development experience
• Experience building production-quality Android applications
• Strong understanding of the Android ecosystem and modern development practices
• Experience integrating applications with APIs, external services, or devices
• Understanding of testing and building reliable commercial Android applications
• Comfortable working within a wider software and hardware engineering environment
• Experience with payments, payment integrations, payment devices, or other hardware and peripheral integrations would be useful

Responsibilities:

• Develop the application layer for a new Android-based payment product
• Progress to integrating the application with payment functionality, peripheral devices, and other hardware

Our software and firmware function is an established team with experienced engineers, and we are expanding the role of Android in our product offering, particularly for a new range of payment devices. The role is based in Oldham, with an expectation of around three days onsite per week. The salary is up to £52,000, with possible flexibility for an exceptional candidate, plus benefits.
