As a Salesforce developer, you will identify, design, and deploy technology and process solutions, establishing key business capabilities enabling the realization of strategic initiatives and operational improvements of Starbucks’ global Salesforce orgs spanning products such as Sales Cloud, B2B Commerce, Experience Cloud, and others. This role requires proficiency in requirement analysis, solution design coupled with the ability to collaborate effectively across various technical and business partners across the company to maximize the benefits of the Salesforce platform, with a focus on elevating the user experience. In addition to delivering well architected salesforce solutions, this role requires leadership through a strong customer service orientation and continuous improvement mindset to elevate partner (employee) and customer user experience. The ability to lead, influence, negotiate, driving alignment and coach/mentor less experienced developers and partner effectively with others is critical to success in this role. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.

As an application developer lead, you will\:

Technical Design and Implementation
• Support project initiation efforts by assisting in the definition of project scope, identification of the targeted solution. Assist project management in planning, estimating, scheduling, prioritization, and resource allocation exercises.
• Participate in the solution design process\: requirements gathering and backlog refinement, contributes to functional design, and leads technical design and development. Mitigates risk with prototypes and proof of concepts for complex problems as appropriate. Build incrementally, with an eye toward vision of the final product. Provide transparency in approach and progress, throughout the process.
• Develop software solutions to business problems. Leverage established design patterns and coding standards. Build solutions that are secure, durable, scalable, flexible, and accessible and proactively mitigate against production support issues.
• Utilize agile delivery methodologies and participate in scrum teams in the execution of solution delivery projects.
• Create and maintain documentation supporting training, system administration, deployment, and operational processes and procedures.
• Demonstrate system proficiency and leverage subject matter expertise to perform root cause analysis and assess issue trends.
• Coordinate issue resolution with vendors and/or cross-functional teams. Provide timely and thorough communication regarding issue status/resolution with end-users and other key stakeholders.
• Consider overall user technology experience in thoughtfully designing engaging solutions

Platform Stewardship
• Proactively participate in helping shape candidate solutions on the platform. This consultative part of the role explores the business capability portfolio to guide and direct solution options to ensure health of the platform.
• Play a creative role in the Platform Stewardship portfolio. Contribute to the vision, roadmap, and platform investments needed to take our business solutions to the next level. Identify, influence, sell, and prioritize innovative platform opportunities, as well as technical debt, with regular reviews, creating programs and solutions to raise the level of the platform offering or remediate systemic operational problems.
• Partner with cross functional teams, such as Infrastructure, Security, Architecture, QA, and key Development teams, to strengthen and elevate the platform from a technology perspective. Successfully drive designs and solutions through enterprise processes and governance to ensure compliant, secure, and supportable solutions.
• Deepen vendor relationships to understand and influence vendor product offerings and roadmaps, improves support engagement and gains insight into technology trends.
• Contribute to the platform development community by providing input, content and feedback on design patterns, coding standards, and shared libraries.

Leadership
• Provide project leadership; initiate, organize, and champion small to medium development efforts for a team of developers over a shared code base.
• Supervise delivery of other developers on the team by setting priority and guiding deliverables.
• Represent the Development Team when engaged with cross functional teams, including functional analysts, Project Management, Development, Architecture, Infrastructure, and the business customer.
• Negotiate, facilitate, and influence others to gain alignment and mutually agreeable outcomes in complex and ambiguous situations. Socialize technical approach and design to project team and corresponding dependent teams.
• Coach and mentor other application developers learning new skills and technologies.
• Exhibit leadership courage with respectful, articulate positions to influence critical technology solutions.
• Manage the initiative and delivers in a fast-paced support environment, driving all issues to resolution with a strong focus on customer satisfaction, stakeholder management, on-time delivery, and efficient task execution.
