Application Security Engineer

Salary: £50,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience defining controls for complex environments, independent of the underlying platform or technology
• Detailed knowledge of the OWASP Top 10 and how to design appropriate security controls
• Experience with secure coding tools, including SCA, SAST, and secrets detection
• Experience identifying and addressing vulnerabilities throughout the SDLC, with the ability to switch between defensive and offensive mindsets
• Experience securing AI-enabled applications and assessing common AI/LLM vulnerabilities
• Strong communication skills and proven stakeholder management within and outside technology departments
• Experience guiding and developing engineers on best practices
• Passion for learning and developing your security knowledge

Responsibilities:

• Translate security principles into requirements and controls that teams can understand and implement across our platforms
• Lead security reviews of varying scope and depth, including threat modeling, design reviews, consultations, and code reviews
• Assess vulnerabilities in AI-enabled applications and services, and use AI tools and agents to improve security analysis and developer enablement
• Champion security with developers, communicating effectively in both technical and non-technical terms
• Work collaboratively with key stakeholders and independently as needed
