AV and IT Systems Engineer

Salary: £25,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements:

• Previous experience in an AV, IT support, field engineering, or Service Desk/MSP environment
• Practical understanding of AV and IT systems, including displays, switching, control systems, device provisioning, and troubleshooting
• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, IPv4 addressing, Wi-Fi connectivity, and LAN fault-finding
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Azure; experience with Lightware, Halo, Unifi, Meraki, Ruckus, or Twiindata is beneficial, but experience with every platform is not essential
• Comfortable providing first-point-of-contact support on client sites and communicating with clients
• Able to take ownership of problems, manage workload with minimal supervision, and maintain clear technical documentation
• Flexible, collaborative, and interested in learning technologies across AV, IT systems, and networking
• Full UK driving licence, with willingness to travel across the UK

Responsibilities:

• Install and support AV systems, including displays, switching, and control systems
• Provide general IT systems support, including device provisioning, deployment, and configuration
• Carry out L1/L2 field service desk work, including onsite escalations and client-facing support
• Support and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 and Azure across client environments
• Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues across client sites
• Use Halo PSA for ticket management and documentation
• Contribute to site surveys, project delivery, and client handovers
• Liaise directly with clients and provide clear, professional updates during incidents and installations
• Escalate complex issues to senior technical resources when required while retaining ownership of client communication
• Maintain accurate ticket notes, documentation, and records of work completed

We are recruiting for a full-time, permanent, field-based AV and IT Systems Engineer role covering client sites across the UK. The role combines AV installation and support, general IT systems work, device deployment, and support across service desk and network teams, with work varying according to client needs. We are looking for someone comfortable working across technical disciplines, resolving day-to-day issues and investigating more involved problems. We provide company equipment, travel expenses for client site attendance, technical training and development, and exposure to a broad range of client environments across AV, IT systems, and networking. Salary is £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
