Overview
This position serves as the primary Data Analytics partner for assigned business domains and independently develops and supports datasets, reports, dashboards and other analytical solutions that advance the Bank’s strategic and operational objectives. The Data Analytics Specialist develops an understanding of assigned business operations, systems, data and analytical needs and collaborates with business stakeholders to evaluate requirements, recommend solutions and provide meaningful insights that support business decisions. The position manages assigned data solutions throughout the development lifecycle from requirements and stakeholder alignment through development, deployment and ongoing support and coordinates with technical and business teams to deliver secure, reliable and sustainable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary Data Analytics partner for assigned business domains and develop a working understanding of their business processes, applications, data, priorities and analytical needs.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze complex data requirements, identify opportunities and translate business needs into technical and functional specifications.
- Develop business requirements documents (“BRDs”), functional requirements documents (“FRDs”), data mapping documentation, process flows and related solution documentation.
- Present requirements and proposed solutions to business stakeholders and internal teams, facilitate discussions, resolve open questions and obtain agreement on recommended approaches.
- Independently manage assigned data solutions from requirements analysis and solution design through development, validation, user acceptance testing (“UAT”), deployment, documentation and ongoing support.
- Develop and deliver complex datasets, data models, reports and dashboards by extracting, integrating and organizing data from multiple sources and formats to meet business requirements.
- Publish and maintain analytical content within Microsoft Fabric and present completed solutions, functionality and analytical findings to stakeholders.
- Analyze data using Structured Query Language (“SQL”), Power BI and other analytical tools to identify patterns, trends, risks and opportunities and communicate actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Monitor data quality, accuracy and integrity; apply validation controls; and identify and resolve data issues through root-cause analysis.
- Coordinate data validation and UAT activities and work with stakeholders and technical teams to resolve identified issues before deployment.
- Coordinate activities and dependencies with other colleagues to ensure requirements are understood and solutions are delivered successfully.
- Collaborate with Information Technology and Information Security application owners and other teams to address system access, connectivity, security, deployment and support requirements.
- Manage multiple priorities independently, communicate progress and risks, escalate non-standard issues as appropriate and drive assigned work to completion with limited supervision.
- Monitor and maintain production analytical solutions and workloads and resolve or escalate issues affecting accuracy, reliability, availability or business use.
- Apply applicable data governance, information security, privacy, access management and change management requirements throughout the design, development and support of data solutions.
- Evaluate existing analytical solutions and processes and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency, reliability, usability and business value.
- Provide technical guidance, knowledge sharing and quality-review support to other analysts as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics or a related field or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum 3 years of data analytics, business intelligence, reporting or related experience required; financial services data analytics experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience independently delivering complex data, reporting or analytical solutions from requirements analysis through development, testing, deployment and ongoing support required.
- Advanced experience using SQL across multiple database platforms, including writing complex queries, integrating datasets, troubleshooting data issues and generating actionable insights required.
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI (or similar reporting or business intelligence tools), including developing reports, dashboards and semantic models and writing and interpreting Data Analysis Expressions (“DAX”), metrics or calculations, required.
- Experience developing business and functional requirements documentation, data mapping documentation, data flows and process diagrams required.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, data quality and root-cause analysis principles required.
- Experience coordinating solution delivery with business stakeholders, data engineers, analysts and technical teams required.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, cloud-based data platforms, Python, customer relationship management (“CRM”) systems, Snowflake or SharePoint preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, logic functions, lookups and complex formulas, required.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational and decision-making skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple priorities, communicate progress and risks, resolve ambiguity and escalate non-standard issues as appropriate.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information clearly to staff with varying levels of technical proficiency.

The position primarily works during normal business hours. Occasional early morning, evening or weekend work and participation in after-hours maintenance windows may be required based on operational needs.
The successful candidate will be required to prove on the first day of work that they are legally authorized to work in the U.S. The Bank will not sponsor a candidate for a visa or for work authorization.
COMPENSATION: $90,000 to $120,000
