Brand Designer - Contract

About the Opportunity

A creative and technology studio is hiring a Brand Designer to build identities from the ground up for clients across a range of industries. Best suited for a systems thinker with real visual craft, someone who can turn a company's ambition into a brand world that holds up across every touchpoint. This is a 6 month contract, 40 hours/week with the potential to extend.

What You'll Do

• Lead brand identity design for clients across industries, including logo systems, typography, color, iconography, illustration style, and visual language.
• Build brand guidelines and asset libraries that let clients stay consistent long after the engagement ends.
• Apply brand systems across pitch decks, social templates, print collateral, packaging, and digital assets.
• Partner with web and product designers so the identity translates into digital environments.
• Present concepts to clients and contribute to new business pitches, articulating the thinking behind creative decisions and navigating feedback with clarity.

What's Required

• 5+ years in brand design, with meaningful time in an agency or studio environment.
• Portfolio showing full identity systems across multiple clients and industries.
• A distinctive point of view and a sophisticated eye for typography, color, and composition. Work that pushes past safe and expected.
• Systems thinking. You build flexible, extensible brand systems that hold up in the real world.
• Comfort running multiple client engagements at different phases at once, with meticulous file organization and production-ready handoff.

• Ownership across the full brand experience, not just the deliverables in your immediate scope.
• Using AI tools to explore directions faster and push ideation further.
• PST, the role is remote in the US but the team is in California.
