Description

Key areas include merchandising, planning and allocation, finance, product, enterprise resource planning, warehouse management, order management, and related systems.
This role works closely with business and technology partners to keep systems running reliably and turn business problems into practical system and process solutions. The right candidate is analytical and curious, comfortable using SQL to investigate cross-system issues, and skilled at coordinating testing and documenting how systems behave. This role also serves as the primary backup for the product data and EDI functions and partners with the Integration & Development team as TPS modernizes its integrations.
What you'll do
- Be a TPS brand ambassador.
- Monitor system processes, scheduled jobs, data quality, and system execution across key enterprise applications.
- Monitor and troubleshoot planning and allocation system purchase order and distribution exports, investigating errors, data discrepancies, and process exceptions.
- Monitor integrations and investigate failures or unexpected system behavior, partnering with the Integration & Development team on fixes and on building or replacing integrations.
- Troubleshoot cross-system issues involving merchandising, warehouse management, PIM, planning and allocation, order management, and related applications.
- Support inventory, distribution, and system-related discrepancy investigations.
- Use SQL and other analytical tools to investigate data and system issues and identify root causes.
- Maintain location records and location setup across systems, supporting new store openings and changes.
- Partner with business users to gather requirements and translate business problems into system or process solutions.
- Develop and maintain test scripts and test cases; coordinate business-user acceptance testing and document results and defects.
- Support system upgrades, releases, configuration changes, production validation, projects, and enhancements, including future planning and allocation capabilities.
- Identify opportunities to improve system functionality, automation, processes, and data quality.
- Maintain system documentation, troubleshooting guides, and operating procedures.
- Provide primary backup support for product data and EDI functions as needed.
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3 to 5 years of experience as a business systems analyst, business analyst, or application support analyst, preferably in retail, e-commerce, or distribution.
- Working SQL skills, including the ability to write queries to investigate data, reconcile discrepancies, and identify root causes.
- Experience supporting a retail merchandising, ERP, or warehouse management system is strongly preferred.
- Experience with planning and allocation, PIM, or order management platforms is a meaningful advantage.
- Understanding of retail processes, including purchasing, allocation, distribution, inventory, and store operations.
- Experience monitoring and troubleshooting system integrations, including file-based and API-based interfaces; exposure to an iPaaS platform is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience writing test scripts and coordinating user acceptance testing for system changes and upgrades.
- Ability to gather requirements and translate business needs into clear system and process solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on root-cause fixes over repeated workarounds.
- Strong documentation discipline and clear written and verbal communication with business and technical audiences.
- Ability to work a minimum of 3+ days per week at the Corporate Office in Acton, MA.
- Professional presentation in attire, demeanor, and appearance.
- Ability to balance operational support with project work in a growing organization.
- Interest in using automation and AI tools to reduce manual, repetitive work.
