CNC Operator

Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machines, including mills, lathes, routers, or similar equipment, in line with production schedules. Load materials and ensure the correct tooling and machine parameters are in place prior to operation. Read and accurately interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications. Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency. Inspect finished components to ensure they meet required quality standards and specifications. Carry out routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly. Maintain accurate production records and ensure full traceability of manufactured components. Work closely with supervisors and production teams to meet daily output targets. Follow all health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment. Key Attributes Proven experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment. Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents. Experience with machine setup and tooling changes. High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot basic machine issues. Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines. A team player with good communication skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. Basic computer literacy; experience with CAD viewing software or shop-floor systems would be advantageous.
