Your Impact
As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will help protect Accelevation’s people, systems, and information by monitoring and responding to cybersecurity risks across our cloud, identity, endpoint, network, and enterprise application environments. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, you will investigate security alerts, support incident response, coordinate vulnerability remediation, monitor identity and access risks, and help maintain compliance readiness. You will partner closely with technology and business teams to strengthen day-to-day security operations while helping Accelevation build a scalable, secure technology environment that supports our continued growth.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts, dashboards, and telemetry across SIEM, EDR/XDR, identity protection, email security, vulnerability management, and cloud security platforms
- Triage and investigate suspicious activity, document findings, escalate material risks, and support containment, eradication, and recovery activities
- Support cybersecurity incident investigations, evidence preservation, timeline development, root cause analysis, and post-incident corrective actions
- Review vulnerability scan results, validate findings, assign and track remediation activities, and follow up with system owners through closure
- Monitor identity and access risks, including multifactor authentication, Conditional Access, privileged access, inactive accounts, least-privilege practices, and access reviews
- Support security monitoring and control validation across Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Windows endpoints, SaaS platforms, and enterprise applications
- Analyze phishing reports, malicious emails, suspicious links, and other employee-reported security concerns
- Maintain incident records, investigation notes, evidence logs, remediation trackers, playbooks, runbooks, procedures, and knowledge articles
- Research threat intelligence and emerging vulnerabilities to assess potential business impact and recommend appropriate actions
- Partner with Cloud Operations, Enterprise Systems, Data & Integration, Development, Service Delivery, and business teams to resolve security findings and reduce risk
- Support third-party security assessments, customer security inquiries, audits, control testing, and compliance evidence collection
- Assist with security awareness programs, phishing simulations, employee training, and targeted communications
- Develop and maintain security metrics and reporting related to incidents, vulnerabilities, control health, access reviews, and remediation progress
- Participate in business continuity, disaster recovery, tabletop exercises, security testing, and lessons-learned activities
- Identify opportunities to improve security operations through automation, tuning, standardization, and improved documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
- 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, security analysis, information technology, systems administration, technical support, or a related discipline
- Working knowledge of security technologies including SIEM, EDR/XDR, IAM, vulnerability management, email security, data protection, and cloud-native security controls
- Experience supporting or securing Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Windows endpoints, or SaaS-based enterprise environments
- Working knowledge of identity security, authentication, multifactor authentication, Conditional Access, privileged access, least privilege, and access review practices
- Ability to investigate security alerts, correlate information from multiple sources, document findings, and appropriately escalate issues
- Understanding of endpoint, network, and cloud security as well as logging, threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management
- Familiarity with security frameworks and control models such as NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, and Zero Trust principles
- Ability to use or learn PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, KQL, Python, or comparable scripting and query tools
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and exercise sound judgment while protecting confidential information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders
- Customer-focused, practical approach to balancing cybersecurity risk with business needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Security+, CySA+, SC-200, AZ-500, GSEC, or comparable cybersecurity certification
- Experience working in a high-growth, multi-location, acquisitive, or rapidly transforming organization
- Experience supporting security audits, compliance assessments, or customer security reviews
- Experience with security automation, scripting, or operational process improvement

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Work is primarily performed in an office environment and requires regular use of computers, monitors, keyboards, phones, and security platforms.
Physical requirements include prolonged periods of sitting, computer-based analysis, reviewing technical information, preparing reports, and participating in meetings. Employees may frequently stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. The position requires close visual acuity for monitoring security systems, analyzing data, reviewing detailed information, and extensive computer use.
