Working as part of our Vulnerability, Remediation and Detection service, you'll play a vital role in helping our customers identify, understand and mitigate security risks before they can be exploited. You'll be at the forefront of cyber defence, analysing information from multiple security tools, responding to emerging threats and supporting incident response activities when security events occur.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise with customer engagement, helping organisations improve their security maturity while delivering a high-quality managed security service.

- Peer reviewing change requests to ensure they do not introduce security regressions
- Quality assessing new implementations against established security baselines
- Ongoing identification and tracking of patches released by our partners, eg Microsoft
- Assisting engineers in the investigation of security events and incidents and assisting in the production of security incident reports
- Data cleansing activities ensuring deprecated assets are investigated and removed from reporting where required
- Presenting vulnerabilities to customers, discussing industry trends where appropriate

We're seeking someone who can combine strong technical knowledge with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience working in a cybersecurity, security operations or IT infrastructure role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Good communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Experience with vulnerability management and detection platforms such as Qualys, Huntress or ManageEngine
- Experience with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions such as CrowdStrike, SentinelOne or Microsoft Defender
- Good understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems
- Ability to investigate and interpret system, security and event logs
- Knowledge of vulnerability scoring methodologies, including CVSS and NIST guidance
- Experience producing technical and customer-facing reports
- Experience implementing operating system hardening standards, including SELinux and Windows security baselines aligned to NCSC guidance
- Understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards such as Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001 and ISO 27002
- Experience supporting incident response and forensic investigations
- Knowledge of Microsoft security technologies and cloud security principles
You will ideally hold, or be working towards, industry-recognised cybersecurity certifications such as Microsoft SC-900, Microsoft SC-200, CompTIA Security+, Cyber Essentials Assessor qualifications, or other relevant security credentials.
