Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Lead Data Engineers to join a leading bank based in Toronto on a contract basis. This role is a hybrid between a typical data engineer and supporting security risk and analysis related activities. The success candidate will oversee the design, development, and maintenance of the enterprise dataengineering projects. This role will provide leadership to a team of data engineers, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring the efficient flow, storage, and integration of data across the organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience with Medallion Architecture,Microsoft Fabric (Workspaces, Lakehouses, Warehouses, Pyspark Notebooks), Azure Data Factory, AzureData Lake, Azure Function App, Logic App, REST APIs, Mapping Dataflow, and Event Hub, and will employthe best practices in data engineering.

Skills and Requirements

7+ years of proven experience as a Data EngineerProficient in T‑SQL, Pyspark, Mapping Dataflow and Python programming languageData governance framework knowledgeHands‑on experience with Azure data services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Function App, Azure Logic App, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, mapping dataflow, and Event HubExperience with Denodo for data virtualizationExperience with data modelingExperience in working with structured, semi‑structured, and unstructured data.Strong communication skillsMicrosoft FabricGCPMicrosoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
