Data Engineer

Overview

As Lead Data Engineer you will own the data architecture and build scalable data infrastructure to support an evolving AI platform. You will be the first senior data hire, collaborating with founders to shape the data function and technical direction. The role offers genuine ownership in a fast-growing start-up and the chance to work with cutting-edge tech to transform the property management domain. This is a hands-on, impact-driven opportunity with equity and close strategic involvement.

Responsibilities

• Own and design the data architecture and infrastructure
• Build and scale data pipelines to support the AI platform
• Shape technical decisions and influence engineering direction
• Collaborate with founders and cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions
• Support the transition of a data function from ground up in a fast-paced startup

Key requirements

• Strong experience with Python
• Excellent SQL knowledge
• Experience with Apache technologies (Spark, Airflow or Kafka)
• Proven experience designing and building scalable data pipelines
• Strong understanding of data architecture and distributed systems
• Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment (beneficial)
