We are seeking a Database & Business Intelligence Developer to help lead the next phase of our reporting and data strategy by developing scalable database solutions, enhancing business intelligence tools, and delivering meaningful insights that support employees, customers, and the communities we serve. This role will be instrumental in helping RiverBank make informed decisions, improve processes, and build for the future.
Job Summary:
The Database & Business Intelligence Developer maintains, administers, develops, and supports the bank's SQL database and related reporting environment. This role ensures the database remains reliable, secure, well-documented, and responsive to business needs; develops and maintains database objects, data feeds, integrations, and reporting structures; produces recurring and ad hoc reporting using Power BI, Excel, SQL, and other reporting platforms; and works with business units to turn operational and financial questions into practical reporting and database solutions. The role will also develop Power Automate and related workflow solutions.
What You'll Do:
- Build, maintain, and enhance RiverBank's SQL database and business intelligence environment.
- Transform data into meaningful insights through Power BI dashboards, reports, and analytics.
- Develop data integrations and reporting solutions that support operations, finance, compliance, and executive leadership.
- Partner with teams across the bank to understand business challenges and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Ensure the accuracy, security, and integrity of critical business data and reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, reporting enhancements, and process optimization.
- Support strategic decision-making by providing timely, actionable information to stakeholders.
- Help shape the future of RiverBank's data, reporting, and business intelligence capabilities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Finance, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Three to five years of experience in SQL database administration or development, business intelligence, reporting, data integration, or a related technical role.
- Strong SQL skills, including relational database concepts, tables, views, stored procedures, indexing, query optimization, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Power BI, including report and dashboard development, data modeling, Power Query, DAX, publishing, refresh processes, and ongoing report maintenance.
- Advanced Excel skills, including analysis, formulas, pivot tables, data validation, reconciliation, and preparation of management or operational reporting.
- Experience with data feeds, ETL or ELT processes, file-based integrations, APIs, vendor interfaces, data extracts, or similar methods of moving structured information into reporting environments.
- Knowledge of banking operations, core banking data, deposit, loan, general ledger, compliance, or other financial-services reporting environments is preferred.

- Starting pay range: $101,636 - $127,046. Target starting pay for this role is $105,000 - $115,000.
