POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior GCP DevOps & AI Platform Engineer will join the Cloud & AI Engineering department reporting to the Director of Cloud Infrastructure to solve critical scaling challenges in transitioning generative AI models from experimentation into production. This role builds and operates a secure, automated Google Cloud platform to enable the seamless deployment and operationalization of Gemini and Vertex AI solutions. By establishing robust CI/CD pipelines, automated infrastructure provisioning, and advanced observability, the engineer ensures enterprise-grade platform reliability, scalability, and optimal GCP resource consumption.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation on GCP for AI applications, APIs, models, configurations, and cloud services.

• Automate end-to-end infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) across development, test, staging, and production environments.

• Support the deployment, operationalization, and scaling of applications consuming Vertex AI and Gemini services.

• Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, alerting, AI/application observability, and operational dashboards utilizing GCP-native capabilities.

• Establish secure identity frameworks, secrets/configuration management, IAM, networking, and access patterns in close collaboration with security teams.
