DevOps Engineer

A technology services business specialising in managed IT, infrastructure and digital transformation is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support client environments and improve software delivery.

The role:

Working closely with clients and technical teams, you’ll manage environments from development through to production, troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues, and automate operational processes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Administering Linux systems and virtual machines across private cloud platforms.
• Automating infrastructure and configuration using Terraform and Ansible.
• Supporting CI/CD pipelines, Docker and Kubernetes environments.
• Monitoring platform health, investigating incidents and implementing lasting improvements.

Requirements

• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with OpenStack or VMware.
• Practical knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD tools.
• Bash or Python scripting skills.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with clients.

Experience with monitoring tools, GitOps, security hardening or business-critical environments would be advantageous.
