Job Title: Personal Driver / Chauffeur – BJS Consultants Limited Location: Cork, Ireland About the Role BJS Consultants Limited, a well-established civil and structural engineering consultancy based in Cork, is seeking a reliable, discreet, and professional Personal Driver to provide dedicated transportation for the company’s Director. This is a key support role requiring flexibility, punctuality, and the highest standards of confidentiality. Key Responsibilities: Executive Transportation: Provide safe, punctual transportation for the Director to business meetings, site visits, client appointments, and other engagements across Cork and beyond. Route Planning: Plan and navigate the most efficient routes based on traffic conditions, time of day, and schedule requirements. Monitor traffic reports and adapt routes proactively. Vehicle Management: Maintain the assigned vehicle in excellent condition. Perform daily checks (tires, oil, fuel, water, battery) and ensure the vehicle is clean, fueled, and ready for use at all times. Schedule Coordination: Review the Director’s daily calendar and estimate drive times to ensure prompt arrival. Monitor flight and train schedules when applicable. Confidentiality: Maintain complete discretion regarding all business and personal matters discussed or observed during trips. Respect the privacy of the Director and the company at all times. Errands and Assistance: Provide occasional assistance with official errands, document delivery, and other tasks as directed. Safety and Compliance: Prioritize safety while driving, following all road regulations and company policies. Handle unexpected situations (breakdowns, delays, schedule changes) with calm professionalism. Requirements: Full Irish driving licence held for a minimum of 3 years. Excellent knowledge of Cork and surrounding areas; familiarity with broader Irish road networks is an advantage. Professional appearance and demeanor. Strong communication skills and a courteous, service-oriented attitude. Absolute reliability, punctuality, and discretion.
