Are you a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician with a strong electrical background and a good understanding of mechanical building services?
Sodexo is seeking a motivated, multi-skilled technician to join our growing PPP/PFI contract at the modern Grangegorman campus for TU Dublin.
This is an excellent opportunity to apply your technical expertise in a dynamic building services environment, supporting the safe, compliant and efficient operation of campus facilities.
You will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, fault-finding and electrical installations, while also supporting mechanical systems and building management technologies. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of health and safety, compliance and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, fault-finding, repairs and periodic inspections across electrical and building services systems.
Undertake electrical testing, including Portable Appliance Testing (PAT), and support the safe operation of electrical installations.
Maintain and troubleshoot general lighting, building controls, small power, electrical distribution and Building Management Systems (BMS).
Support the inspection and maintenance of mechanical building services, including boilers, pumps, compressed air systems, fan coil units, air handling units and sanitary equipment.
Lead and carry out low-voltage (LV) electrical installation works.
Ensure reactive and corrective maintenance tasks are completed within agreed priority timescales.
Work in accordance with relevant legislation, codes of practice, manufacturer recommendations, health and safety requirements and contractual standards.
Use Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems to receive, manage and update planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
Identify opportunities to improve system performance, maintenance processes and operational efficiency.
Provide technical advice and practical solutions to support effective building maintenance.
About You
You are a practical, solutions-focused technician with strong electrical knowledge, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently while supporting the wider facilities team.
Essential requirements
You must have a craft card to be considered for this position.
Demonstrable experience in a similar electrical maintenance or building services engineering role.
A relevant electrical trade qualification, such as QQI, HND, NVQ or equivalent.
City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations) or equivalent; City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing or equivalent is desirable within the stated qualification criteria.
IOSH qualification, CSCS card, Safe Pass or equivalent.
Experience using a CAFM system.
Experience working within a building maintenance organisation.
Basic multi-skilled knowledge across mechanical and building services disciplines.
Strong organisational skills and the ability
