Embedded Digital Design Engineer

An opportunity has arisen for an Embedded Digital Design Engineer

to join a growing engineering team working on complex embedded

digital systems. The role covers a broad range of technologies,

from advanced DSP and image processing systems through to complex

SoC and safety-critical applications, with opportunities to

develop both technical and leadership skills.

Typical responsibilities include:

• * Working across the full embedded development lifecycle, from
• initial system design and functional partitioning through to
• implementation, integration and testing
• * Developing embedded digital systems across areas such as FPGA,
• embedded software and digital hardware
• * Supporting the partitioning of functions between software and
• FPGA domains and modelling key performance aspects of the
• resulting design
• * Integrating and testing embedded systems on hardware platforms
• * Working within multi-disciplinary engineering teams to deliver
• complex solutions and contribute to continuous technical
• development

The ideal candidate will have:

• * A background in Digital Hardware Design, FPGA Design or
• Embedded Software Design
• * Experience or knowledge of embedded digital design and
• modelling
• * Experience integrating and testing embedded systems on hardware
• platforms
• * A degree or equivalent qualification in an appropriate
• engineering or technical discipline
• * Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work
• collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary engineering
• environment
