Enterprise Java Backend Engineer

Develop and support scalable backend services in Montreal using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and SQL. In-office attendance is required three days weekly.

This hands-on software engineer contributes across the full application lifecycle for Operations Technology applications. Responsibilities include analysis, solution design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support. You will partner with business and technology stakeholders while strengthening application resiliency, performance, and operational support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and support REST APIs and backend services
• Participate in analysis, design, implementation, and testing
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements
• Improve application resiliency, performance, and operational support
• Support application modernization and continuous improvement

Requirements:

• Seven to fifteen years of commercial software development experience
• Strong Java 17+ and Spring Boot development background
• Object-oriented design and software engineering principles
• SQL, relational databases, automated testing, and CI/CD experience
• Complex production issue analysis and resolution skills
