Field Application Engineer Italy

IMI is seeking a Field Application Engineer to independently design and deliver complex application solutions by translating customer needs into technically feasible outcomes. You will work with Sales, design teams, and factories to define requirements and select fit-for-purpose products, with a focus on remote/field-based support in Northern Italy.

Serve as a key technical partner to customers and tailor solutions. Translate customer needs into standard application and project solutions. Identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell solutions. Manage product selection, system configuration, and basic design. Prepare technical solution packages with CAD, BOMs, and specs. Participate in customer meetings with Sales and Senior AE. Visit customers and support key commercial activities. Ensure solutions meet manufacturing capabilities, quality and cost. Support quality investigations and documentation. Represent the company at trade shows and events. Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering field. Experience in technical support or application engineering. Strong understanding of electro-mechanical components, pneumatics, and motion control. Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor) and MS Office. Excellent written and verbal communication. Willingness to travel within the region.
