About the Opportunity

Join Genese's product engineering team to build and ship features across the stack, from React front ends to Node/Python APIs and AWS infrastructure. You'll own features end to end, work closely with product and design, and help keep code quality and release pace healthy. This is a new role created to support the tight timeline for Lender Finance and prevent team burnout.

Role & Responsibilities

• Build, test and ship features across front end and back end
• Design and maintain REST APIs and database schemas
• Turn requirements from product and design into working software
• Review code and keep quality and security standards high
• Deploy and monitor services on cloud infrastructure
• Debug production issues and help improve reliability
• Document your work and share knowledge with the team

Skills & Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years as a full stack developer, with focus on front end, ideally on SaaS or cloud products
• Bachelor's in Computer Science, IT or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
• React or a similar front-end framework, Node.js, REST APIs, SQL and NoSQL databases, Git, CI/CD basics
• Key technical skills: React, Full stack web development, API design, cloud deployment (AWS), database design, automated testing, Git workflows
• Key conceptual skills: System design basics, debugging tricky issues, turning vague requirements into clear tasks, thinking about scale and security
• Desired behavioral traits: Ownership mindset, curious, communicates clearly, plays well with others, handles feedback well

Preferred

• AWS exposure
• Docker/Kubernetes
• TypeScript
• Experience building data heavy products
