Full Stack Engineer

RFPs.ai is a small, product-focused team building semantic search for procurement teams. You will ship user-facing features and backend services that help BD and proposal teams find contract opportunities they can actually win.

This role suits an engineer who enjoys full ownership: scoping with the founder, implementing, deploying, and measuring impact with real customers.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain React features in our marketing site and product app (search, profiles, alerts, exports).
• Design and implement API endpoints for search, saved queries, and team workspaces.
• Improve ingestion reliability for PDF and DOCX uploads from customer capability statements.
• Collaborate on performance, observability, and deployment on Cloudflare and our backend stack.
• Participate in customer calls when engineering context helps prioritize the roadmap.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years building production web applications with TypeScript.
• Strong React experience and comfort with REST APIs.
• Practical backend skills (Python or Node) and SQL or document-store familiarity.
• Clear written communication. You will document features and hand off to a lean team.
• Authorization to work in the US or Canada, or established remote setup in a compatible timezone.

Nice to have

• Experience with vector search, embeddings, or LLM-powered products.
• Background in B2B SaaS, govtech, or procurement workflows.
• Familiarity with Cloudflare Pages, Workers, or edge deployments.
