Duties, Responsibilities & Other

  • Design, develop, and maintain modern cloud-native applications using React or Svelte, TypeScript, .NET, Python, and Azure services.
  • Build responsive, scalable, and accessible user experiences leveraging modern front-end frameworks, component libraries, and design systems.
  • Develop backend services, APIs, integrations, and event-driven solutions using C#, .NET, Python, RESTful APIs, and asynchronous messaging patterns.
  • Design and implement robust data models utilizing SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Entity Framework Core, ORM frameworks, and database scripting technologies.
  • Architect, deploy, and manage Azure resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, including Bicep and ARM templates.
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions to automate testing, security validation, infrastructure provisioning, and application deployments.
  • Develop, deploy, and manage containerized workloads using Docker, Azure Container Apps, and related Azure platform services.
  • Design and implement enterprise solutions leveraging the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power Pages, and custom connectors.
  • Build intelligent business solutions using AI agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Azure AI Foundry, Copilot technologies, Ollama, vLLM, and modern LLM orchestration frameworks.
  • Collaborate with architects, product owners, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define technical solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical design sessions to ensure scalability, maintainability, security, and operational excellence.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize application performance across front-end, backend, cloud infrastructure, integrations, and data layers.
  • Mentor team members, contribute to technical leadership, and promote engineering best practices across projects.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design through deployment and production support.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to development practices, cloud architecture, and platform capabilities.

Specialized Experience Required:

  • Strong experience developing modern web applications using React or Svelte and TypeScript.
  • Proficiency in backend development using C#, .NET, and/or Python.
  • Deep experience with Microsoft Azure, including App Services, Functions, Storage Accounts, API Management, Key Vault, Entra ID, Application Insights, and Azure Monitor.
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Bicep, ARM templates, and automated Azure deployment strategies.
  • Experience with source control systems including Git, branching strategies, pull request workflows, and collaborative development practices.
  • Experience designing and consuming REST APIs, event-driven systems, microservices, and distributed architectures.
  • Experience implementing AI-powered solutions using Azure AI Services, Azure AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, Microsoft Agent Framework, LangGraph, GitHub Copilot SDK, OpenAI Agent SDK, or similar frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, secure coding standards, and cloud governance principles.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery methodologies and DevOps-oriented engineering teams.

Specialized Experience Preferred:

  • Experience with Power Platform Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), solution deployment, and environment management.
  • Knowledge of Azure messaging and integration services, including Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hub, and Logic Apps.
  • Experience with Azure Container Apps and serverless architectures.
  • Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD), microservices, and distributed system design patterns.
  • Experience implementing automated testing strategies, including unit, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing.
  • Azure, Power Platform, AI, and DevOps certifications are highly desirable.
  • Experience leading technical workstreams, solution design, or mentoring development teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering enterprise-grade applications and solutions.
  • Strong experience designing and maintaining Azure DevOps Pipelines, release automation, and modern DevOps practices Strong understanding of machine learning and AI development.
  • Must have experience with Docker, containerization, and cloud-native architecture patterns.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Experience with professional software engineering best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, and testing.
  • Great organizational and time-management skills.
  • Pre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment. Motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
