Gear Shaping & Grinding Operator (Aerospace)

Must be qualified to set-up and operate a wide variety of gear shaping and grinding equipment from blueprints or process sheets.

Typical Duties: Set up and operate Gear Tooth Grinder and Gear Tooth Generator.

Select proper holding devices, cutters, and lubricants.

Performs final inspection with use of special gaging equipment.

Able to measure finish product.

Capable and willing to assist or train other employees in lower classifications.
