Graphic Design Intern - Baton Rouge

MMR seeks a Graphic Design Intern specializing in motion graphics and animation to create animated assets for social media, presentations, and video.
This in-office position is located at the company’s headquarters in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and will report to Jennifer Macha, Creative Director.
Key Responsibilities:

• Create animated social graphics for different platforms and formats.
• Develop presentation graphics and animations that communicate clearly and reflect MMR’s brand.
• Design lower thirds, title cards, transitions, and other graphic elements for video post-production.
• Prepare motion files and exports for each channel and organize source assets for handoff.
• Adapt existing artwork and templates to maintain brand consistency.
• Collaborate with marketing and video teammates, incorporating feedback and revisions.

What We’re Looking For:

• Education: Seeking a bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Visual Communications, Marketing or related field.
• Experience: A portfolio covering class, personal, and/or freelance projects is strongly preferred. No professional experience is required.
• Required Skills:
  • Proactive, self-directed, and solutions-oriented
  • Working familiarity with Adobe After Effects, Premier Pro, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Eagerness to learn production workflows
  • Strong organizational stills and attention to detail with ability to meet deadlines and incorporate constructive feedback
• Preferred Skills:
  • Experience designing for social media or presentation decks
  • Familiarity with lower-third design and video editing workflows
