Head of IT

Salary: £60,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experienced IT leader with the technical capability to take ownership of IT infrastructure, Microsoft 365, business systems, security and technology suppliers

Responsibilities:

• Lead our internal IT function and serve as the senior internal point of contact for IT matters
• Provide technical leadership while participating in troubleshooting, systems administration, development and automation
• Take technical ownership of our Microsoft 365 environment, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and associated security services
• Conduct regular technical, configuration and security reviews of the Microsoft 365 environment
• Maintain and develop automated Microsoft 365 auditing and assurance processes
• Use Microsoft Graph API and PowerShell to investigate tenant configuration, security settings and operational data
• Maintain automated audit and reporting processes using GitHub Actions
• Review security and configuration assessments, investigate issues and coordinate appropriate remediation
• Maintain appropriate security baselines and ensure changes do not introduce unnecessary risk
• Manage identity and access controls, including MFA, Conditional Access, external sharing and privileged access
• Monitor Microsoft 365 developments and assess the impact of changes to configuration, security, functionality and licensing
• Oversee business applications, IT operations, security and technology suppliers
• Identify opportunities to improve processes through automation and better use of technology
• Develop our technology environment and ensure systems remain secure and reliable
