Heavy Plant / Excavator Mechanics - SMP Hire Ltd T/A KR Hire

SMP Hire Ltd T/A KR Hire requires 3 experienced Heavy Plant / Excavator Mechanics for full-time work at Glen Road, Monaghan, Co. Monaghan,H18 Y206.

The successful candidates will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing and repairing large excavators and other heavy construction/plant machinery.

Candidates should have strong hands-on mechanical experience with Komatsu or similar heavy equipment brands.

Main Duties:

• - Service, maintain and repair large excavators and heavy plant equipment.
• - Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and basic electrical faults.
• - Carry out repairs to engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, undercarriages and other components.
• - Perform preventative maintenance and routine servicing.
• - Identify defective or worn components and complete necessary repairs or replacements.
• - Carry out fault finding and troubleshooting on plant machinery.
• - Ensure equipment is maintained to a safe and reliable working standard.
• - Complete work in accordance with company health and safety procedures.
• Candidate Requirements
• - Proven experience as a Heavy Plant Mechanic, Excavator Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Plant Fitter.
• - Strong experience working specifically with large excavators and construction equipment.
• - Experience with Komatsu is highly desirable; experience with Caterpillar, Hitachi, Volvo, JCB or similar equipment is also relevant.
• - Good knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics and mechanical systems.
• - Able to independently diagnose faults rather than only carrying out routine servicing.
• - Relevant mechanical/heavy equipment qualification is preferred.
• Other Details: Minimum annual remuneration: €36,605
• Standard working week 39 hours.
