Hybrid Data Engineer Vaughan Contract

This eight-month Data Engineer contract supports reporting, analytics, and business decision-making within established architecture and engineering standards. You will own assigned pipelines, data models, and technical deliverables while collaborating with senior engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders. The position requires hands-on data integration, modeling, and scalable solution delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and support validated pipelines across multiple source systems
• Build scalable data models supporting consistency, performance, and accessibility
• Automate recurring processing and improve existing workflows
• Optimize SQL transformations and data-processing logic
• Monitor failures, investigate quality issues, and implement corrective actions

Requirements:

• Five-plus years in data engineering or related technical fields
• Strong SQL and data transformation troubleshooting experience
• Knowledge of warehousing, dimensional modeling, and ETL or ELT
• Experience with a cloud-based data platform
• Python or another data-processing programming language
