Infrastructure Engineer

Salary: £40,000 - 45,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a hands-on infrastructure support or administration role
• Good working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, virtualisation, networking, firewalls and backup solutions
• Experience with Sophos, Veeam and Microsoft Intune is preferred
• Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting, hybrid identity environments and IT security best practice is advantageous
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and prioritise competing demands
• Effective communication with technical and non-technical colleagues
• Methodical approach, strong attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and support our UK-wide IT infrastructure, ensuring systems are secure, reliable and efficient
• Manage Windows Server, Active Directory, Hyper-V, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, networking, Sophos security and Veeam backups
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and manage updates and changes
• Support disaster recovery and compliance activities
• Maintain technical documentation and develop PowerShell scripts to improve processes
• Act as an escalation point for IT Technicians
• Work with external support partners and contribute to ongoing infrastructure projects
