Job Title: IT Auditor
This position has a hybrid work schedule and is located at the WoodmenLife Tower in downtown Omaha, NE.
WoodmenLife is looking to hire and IT Auditor to join our team!
The IT Auditor provides objective assurance and advisory support over information systems, cybersecurity practices, technology-enabled processes, and related risk areas.
The role can be filled by an early-career professional, but it carries higher expectations for pace, proficiency, ownership, and communication than a typical entry-level role.

We are looking for someone to:
Evaluate enterprise-level IT risks, emerging technology issues, and control design effectiveness.
Produce clear, balanced, and actionable audit reports.
Review work performed by other auditors, identifying errors, gaps, and opportunities for stronger analysis.
Provide coaching that improves others' judgment and audit quality, not just error correction.
Navigate significant stakeholder pushback professionally and remain evidence-based.
Assist with SOC report reviews and third-party/vendor risk considerations.
Contribute to strategy, advisory work, methodology improvements, and department quality initiatives.
Incorporate review feedback quickly and demonstrate continuous improvement.
Maintain confidentiality, objectivity, and professional skepticism.
Demonstrate ability to leverage AI technologies to streamline workflows and promote fair and unbiased work practices.
Meet attendance and punctuality expectations in accordance with supervisor and WoodmenLife policy requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
We need someone who has:
Independently plan and execute audit engagements from planning through reporting.
Execute IT audit procedures and document results in clear, well-supported workpapers.
Evaluate IT general controls, information security controls, and technology-enabled business processes.
Assist with SOC report reviews and third-party/vendor risk considerations.
Participate in reviews of system implementations, enhancements, or technology change activity as assigned.
Draft evidence-based observations and practical recommendations.
Maintain confidentiality, objectivity, and professional skepticism.
Incorporate review feedback quickly and demonstrate continuous improvement.
Growth mindset and demonstrated ability to learn new areas and form evidence-based conclusions.
The ability to craft clear, concise, and effective prompts to get accurate results from generative AI tools such as Copilot.
Familiarity with AI-powered work tools (e.g. Copilot) for content creation, data analysis, automation, and design.
Understanding the responsible use of AI, including identifying and mitigating algorithmic bias and ensuring data privacy and security.
Demonstrated ability to provide seamless, trustworthy, attentive, and resourceful (S.T.A.R.) customer service and a commitment to an exemplary customer and experience.
