Salary: £33,000 - 33,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Were looking for someone with proven experience in an IT support role, such as IT Support Engineer, IT Technician or similar.
  • You should have strong knowledge of Windows desktop and server operating systems.
  • You should have experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Group Policy.
  • You should have a good understanding of networking and experience troubleshooting network issues.
  • Knowledge of firewall technologies is expected.
  • You should have experience installing servers and supporting server migrations.
  • Familiarity with virtualisation platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V is desirable.
  • SQL knowledge or experience is desirable.
  • You should bring excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Were looking for someone proactive, self-motivated and practical, with strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with ERP or MES systems, IT support in a manufacturing environment, Cyber Essentials or ISO 27001 would be an advantage.
  • IT qualifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+ or Microsoft certifications are desirable.
  • We welcome applicants with a strong IT support background, a willingness to learn and the right attitude, even if they dont meet every listed criterion.
Responsibilities:
  • Carry out daily IT checks and maintenance, including backup verification, log reviews and server room checks.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, providing effective solutions to users.
  • Manage IT incidents and change requests through the IT Service Desk.
  • Install, configure and maintain IT equipment, ensuring software licensing compliance.
  • Support new starters and leavers, including PC, telephone and workstation moves.
  • Ensure PCs, laptops and servers are patched within required compliance timescales.
  • Support IT projects and provide technical assistance to other departments.
  • Liaise with external IT suppliers and raise support calls where required.
  • Provide MES/ERP system support, including report writing.
  • Install and terminate network cabling and carry out cable runs where required; well provide IPAF 3A/3B training.
  • Support our IT policies, procedures and security requirements.
  • Identify and report non-conformances and security incidents to the ISMS Manager.
  • Support relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and information security standards.
  • Assist with certifications and audits, including ISO 27001.
  • Undertake occasional out-of-hours work when required to support project delivery.
