Java Developer Algo Trading

Overview

In this role you will help build a brand-new greenfield, low-latency trading platform for cross-asset trading in FX and commodities. You’ll collaborate with the Head of Trading and Quant Team to design and implement trading algorithms in Java, maintain existing strategies, and develop back-office and utility applications. The position offers rapid impact in a flat, performance-driven environment focused on cutting-edge trading technology. You gain substantial exposure to high-frequency trading and work alongside smart, motivated colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Head of Trading and Quant Team to design and implement new trading algorithms in Java
• Develop a greenfield low-latency trading platform
• Improve and maintain existing trading strategies
• Create utility applications and Excel-based tools to support trading activities
• Engage with traders to translate requirements into applications and resolve issues
• Build a new back-office system

Key requirements

• Commercial Java development experience
• Strong core Java knowledge (Nuts and Bolts)
• SQL proficiency
• Solid understanding of general programming concepts
• Possibility of C++ considered, but Java is core
