Java Developer (Mid-Level)

Requirements:

• 6+ years of commercial Java development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and microservices
• Solid understanding of agile delivery and day-to-day use of Azure DevOps
• High standards for clean code and version control
• Clear communication skills and confidence guiding junior team members
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Eligibility to work full-time in Ireland without restrictions

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain Java microservices and reusable Spring Boot components
• Translate business requirements into clean, scalable, well-tested solutions in collaboration with analysts and operations colleagues
• Follow and champion coding standards, architecture guidance, and source control practices
• Manage work through Azure DevOps within an agile delivery model
• Mentor less experienced engineers through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing
• Identify ways to improve code quality and team delivery

We are recruiting for our client, based in Dublin city centre, for a Java Engineer on an initial six-month contract. The role supports core business platforms and involves close collaboration with engineering, analyst, and operations colleagues.
