Description
Job Title: Java Developer
We are seeking a seasoned Java Developer with extensive full-stack expertise to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java as the primary Back End language, with additional proficiency in Python or TypeScript for some Back End components. This role requires a deep understanding of Kubernetes, GitOps, and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices, along with experience in CI/CD pipelines, feature flagging, and A/B testing.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain large-scale distributed systems using Java as the primary Back End language.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system scalability and performance engineering.
- Implement unit, component, and integration testing to ensure quality and reliability of software.
- Utilise Kubernetes and GitOps for efficient deployment and management of applications.
- Optimise database scaling and manage microservice consistency issues, including sharding and race conditions.
Essential Skills
- Proven expertise in Java development.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes, GitOps, and SDLC best practices.
- experience with CI/CD pipelines, feature flagging, and A/B testing.
- Strong understanding of performance engineering and data modelling.
- Knowledge of time/space complexity, algorithmic tradeoffs, and database scaling.
