Junior Backend Engineer: APIs, Data & Cloud Growth

PALCOMM ITALIA SRL is hiring a Junior Backend Developer to build and maintain the infrastructure behind our digital platforms in Sicilia. With 1+ year of real backend experience, you will ship REST APIs, evolve PostgreSQL data models, and ensure security and performance.

You’ll work closely with the IT team and CTO, using NestJS, Node.js, Redis, Docker, and AWS to deliver reliable services and collaborate on architectural decisions.

Build and maintain REST APIs for web and mobile applications alongside the team. Help evolve the PostgreSQL schema, write queries and protect data integrity. Implement authentication, authorization and role management patterns. Integrate third-party services and endpoints defined with the team. Improve caching, logging and query performance with senior support. Participate in code reviews and ensure secure, maintainable features. Collaborate with other developers on features that stay reliable and scalable. At least 1 year of professional backend development. Experience building and consuming real APIs and working with data. Familiarity with PostgreSQL schemas, queries and data integrity. Knowledge of Git and PR workflows in a team setting. Experience with Redis and caching, and with Docker/AWS. Nice to have Stripe or other payment systems experience.
