Job Overview

The Junior IT Engineer provides first‑line internal IT support and assists with basic infrastructure maintenance. The role supports employees by resolving common technical issues, maintaining endpoint devices, and contributing to a stable and secure internal IT environment. This position focuses on operational IT support, user assistance, and basic infrastructure tasks. The roles serve as the primary contact point for internal users, supporting day‑to‑day IT needs while building technical skills and contributing to team projects and continuous service improvement

Job Responsibilities

  • Respond to and resolve basic internal IT support tickets.
  • Provide user support in person, by phone, or via remote access.
  • Diagnose issues related to computer software, peripherals, and hardware.
  • Run software diagnostic tools and physically inspect hardware systems.
  • Guide users through basic troubleshooting and problem‑solving processes.
  • Provide basic computer and system usage training to employees.
  • Install, upgrade, and maintain hardware and software, ensuring systems remain up to date.
  • Write and maintain basic training manuals and user documentation.
  • Set up computers and IT access for new employees.
  • Support ongoing projects within IT Internal Services and other departments.
  • Assist administrative teams with technical and non‑IT technical issues when required.
  • Apply IT security and data privacy principles in daily work.
  • Cooperate with all internal departments and third‑party providers.
  • Work effectively under pressure and within an agile working environment.

Required Qualifications and experience

  • 1-2 years of experience in an IT support, helpdesk, or similar role (or relevant internship experience)
  • Technical education background or equivalent practical experience
  • English proficiency at B2 level or higher
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 environments
  • Familiarity with endpoint management solutions such as Intune, MDM, and Microsoft Entra ID is an advantage
  • Understanding of IT security and data privacy principles
  • Basic knowledge of computer networking (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, network troubleshooting). CCNA-level knowledge is a plus
  • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining computer hardware and peripherals
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn new technologies
