Junior Systems Engineer & Software Developer

Salary: £30,000 - 34,000 per year

Requirements:

• Located within 10 miles of BS34 6PL.

Responsibilities:

• Flash and install firmware on embedded devices.
• Configure Linux-based systems built on Raspberry Pi.
• Test software and configurations to support development.
• Build and assemble hardware and components for production and development.
• Work with a senior developer to implement features for existing and new product lines.
• Connect and control systems, checking that they operate as expected and remain reliable over time.
• Configure production machines using Linux and embedded devices.
• Advise on repairs and customer support procedures.
• Diagnose systems onsite and remotely.
• Test and implement prototype features, build updates for ongoing products, and diagnose machines onsite or via video call.
• Assist with producing machine components and configuring machines using premade tools and remote Linux connections.

This is a paid, office-based role with no remote-working option; day-to-day work varies across ongoing projects, alongside our team. The salary is £30,000–£34,000 per year, with casual dress, a company pension, and on-site parking. Work is in person.
