Title and Summary

Lead Data Scientist

Overview
Independently manages and manipulates large data sets and applies various technical and statistical analytical techniques (e.g., OLS, multinomial logistic regression, LDA, clustering and segmentation) to draw insights from large data sets.
Role.
• Communicate with client counterparts to ensure customer needs are being addressed when designing data analysis and technical solutions.
• Reviews and apply complex analytical techniques or tools to draw meaningful and insightful observations and trends from large/ complex data sets.
• Develop sophisticated multivariate models and analytic solutions (e.g., dashboards, prototypes), utilizing complex statistical and data science techniques and methods.
• Meets project deadlines for accountable deliverables and anticipate delays or foreseeable barriers to progress, escalating issues when necessary.
• Conducts due diligence quality assurance testing for prototypes and tools in beta and resolves recurring complex issues and bugs.
• Assist with data R&D work as delegated by senior level colleagues.
About You
• Position requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or as a Data Science, AI and Machine Learning, or related.
• Qualifying experience must include at least 1 year of experience with each of the following: Python; Scikit-learn; Hadoop; Impala/Spark; Git; BI visualization tools (i.e., Tableau, Domo, Power BI); SQL.
• Option to work from home-based office exists. May reside anywhere within the United States.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay Ranges

O'Fallon, Missouri: $140,000 - $231,000 USD
