Marketplace Software Engineer JavaScript

Develop digital marketplace applications for IAA with JavaScript, TypeScript, RESTful APIs, and modern software engineering practices alongside senior engineers.

IAA’s marketplace teams need a motivated software engineer to develop and maintain applications supporting commercial asset and vehicle transactions. This role emphasizes clean code, testing, collaboration, and continuous learning. You will participate in team discussions while building familiarity with cloud platforms, containers, and CI/CD concepts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop maintainable applications from design specifications
• Use JavaScript, TypeScript, React JS, and RESTful APIs
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders
• Review code using GitHub and GitHub Copilot responsibly
• Explore AI tools and frameworks continuously

Requirements:

• Three to six years of software development experience
• Computer Science degree or equivalent practical experience
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices
• Working knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, and SSO
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
