UCT is looking for a talented Materials Program Manager I to join us in Austin, TX!

The Materials Program Manager leads material planning and supply chain strategies to ensure timely availability of components for critical programs, serving our end customer ASML. This role drives material flow, mitigates supply risks, and aligns material strategies with business objectives. Acting as a key liaison between internal teams and external partners, the position ensures visibility of material issues, supports production schedules, and enables efficient execution of program deliverables.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee material requirements and supply chain activities for assigned programs, ensuring alignment with business strategies and objectives.
  • Partner with Contract Manufacturers (CMs), OEMs, suppliers, engineering, planning, and procurement teams to proactively identify risks, resolve shortages, and optimize material flow throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for material supply challenges.
  • Serve as escalation point for material issues and lead resolution efforts to support production schedules.
  • Coordinate demand signals through MRP to minimize inventory exposure and optimize supply planning.
  • Support new project material strategies, including identification of critical parts, long-lead items, and inspection requirements.
  • Design inventory programs (e.g., VMI, JIT) and recommend risk buys or consignment to reduce lead times and improve cash flow.
  • Analyze BOM for risk, assess burst demand requests, and develop plans to meet customer requirements.
  • Manage inventory allocation strategies, supply recovery plans, and constrained material scenarios while balancing customer priorities, production schedules, and business objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to address supplier performance issues and provide input on supplier selection and assessment.
  • Utilize advanced analytics, SAP S/4HANA, MRP systems, and business intelligence tools to drive material planning, inventory optimization, and supply chain performance improvements.
  • Support engineering changes, commercialization plans, and material change control processes.
  • Act as a key link between customers and the materials supply chain to ensure program success.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

  • Lead material readiness and Clear-to-Build (CTB) processes across new product introductions, sustaining production, and customer-specific programs to ensure on-time build execution and supply continuity.
  • Proven experience managing complex global supply chains within semiconductor, OEM, electronics, or high-tech manufacturing environments, with a strong focus on supply continuity, material availability, and operational excellence.
  • Demonstrated expertise in supply-demand planning, inventory allocation, shortage mitigation, and production readiness assessments to support changing customer demand and manufacturing requirements across global operations.
  • Develop and present executive-level reports, KPIs, supply risk assessments, and material readiness updates to customers and senior leadership to support strategic decision-making.
  • Strong problem-solving and influencing capabilities, leveraging data-driven insights and collaborative stakeholder engagement to drive timely business decisions and issue resolution.
  • Advanced analytical and forecasting capabilities with expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex modeling, scenario analysis, trend forecasting, and data-driven decision support.
  • Ability to interpret complex BOMs and develop inventory programs to optimize material flow.
  • Advanced analytical skills for assessing supply risks and implementing effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in MRP systems and supply chain planning tools.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to align material strategies to business objectives.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including coaching, team development, and situational leadership.
  • High sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education, Certifications, Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing industry, ideally in semiconductor industry.
  • Strong purchasing experience in commodity management and customer-facing experience.
  • Will have frequent communications with cross-functional teams in the US, Europe, and Asia.
  • Experience in the position of Materials Program Manager (MPM) and/or Procurement, Planning & Supply Chain.
  • Experience with product design engineering and commodity management or priorities for raw material or component selection.
  • Experience integrating the delivery schedule of materials into product program milestones.
  • Working knowledge of Materials Requirements Planning (preferred SAP) and Bill of Material Structure tools (preferred Agile)
  • Minimum 2-3 years of demonstrated work experience with ERP SAP S4HANA
  • Experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
