Member of Technical Staff Simulation

You will build and own realistic simulation environments, assets, and domain randomization for robot learning. You will train low-level robot controllers using reinforcement learning, develop simulation systems from physics through high-level policies, and deploy simulation-trained policies to real robots. You will set technical direction while remaining hands-on with code.

Responsibilities

• Build and own simulation environments, assets, and domain randomization
• Train low-level robot controllers with reinforcement learning in simulation
• Develop realistic environments for training and evaluation
• Design physics fidelity, contact models, actuator dynamics, and solver settings
• Integrate low-level controllers with models
• Deploy simulation-trained policies on real robots
• Set technical direction and raise the engineering bar
• Write code across the simulation and control stack

Requirements

• Deep hands-on production simulation experience
• Experience with Isaac Sim, MuJoCo, or another major simulator
• Experience owning simulation environments, assets, and domain randomization
• Experience with contact models, actuator dynamics, and solver settings
• 6+ years of hands-on robot learning experience in simulation
• Strong reinforcement learning and sim-to-real transfer fundamentals
• Experience deploying simulation-trained policies on real robots across multiple embodiments
• Experience building simulation systems from scratch
• Experience leading simulation while remaining hands-on
• Experience across solvers, low-level controllers, and high-level policies
