Mid Java Developer

Join a team modernising backend systems within a microservices architecture. You will work on a Java 8 to Java 17 migration and an ActiveMQ to RabbitMQ transition, alongside analysts, testers and DevOps engineers, with modern tooling and AI in the room.

What you will do:

• Develop and maintain Java-based applications at the core of our clients' operations
• Modernise legacy systems: Java 8 to Java 17 migration and an ActiveMQ to RabbitMQ transition
• Design backend solutions within a microservices environment
• Optimise existing code and implement new features
• Integrate external and internal systems using REST APIs
• Collaborate day to day with analysts, testers and DevOps engineers

What you bring:

• 2-4 years of Java programming experience
• Strong proficiency in Spring Boot and Spring Cloud
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes and microservices architecture
• Experience with Oracle or other relational databases
• Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM ways of working
• Fluent English

Nice to have: Camunda, Angular or React with TypeScript, and experience integrating banking systems.
