Job Summary

As an MSP Sales Engineer, you will help Managed Service Provider partners build the technical capability to position, demonstrate, build, and deliver NetApp solutions with confidence. Job Responsibilities

  • Guide MSP partners in building self-service demo capabilities and executing independent product demonstrations and technical sales processes.
  • Provide pre-sales technical guidance on solution design, proof-of-concept initiatives, and technical objections throughout the sales process.
  • Support MSP Account Managers with the technical expertise needed to close deals and align solutions with partner needs.
  • Collaborate with technical stakeholders at key MSP partners and support the Partner Sales Manager in delivering the technical elements of partner business plans.
  • Act as a liaison between MSP technical teams and internal product, engineering, and support teams to address partner needs and challenges.
  • Build trusted relationships with partner technical teams and keep them informed about product updates, feature releases, and technical roadmaps.
  • Design and improve enablement content, tools, and technical resources while advocating internally for partner needs.
  • Improve partner enablement outcomes by increasing technical competency, driving adoption of self-service demo capabilities, improving stakeholder satisfaction, and supporting the progression of qualifies opportunities.

Job Requirements

  • Strong technical sales engineering experience, with the confidence to guide partner technical teams, support complex sales cycles, and translate customer requirements into practical solution recommendations; experience in the MSP, cloud, storage, data protection, or cybersecurity market is advantageous.
  • Experience delivering technical training, workshops, enablement programmes, or certification programmes.
  • Strong pre-sales capabilities, including solution design, proof-of-concept support, and handling technical objections.
  • The ability to enable partners to independently run product demonstrations and technical sales motions.
  • Experience developing technical enablement content, tools, and resources.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across partner and internal teams.
  • The ability to act as a trusted technical advisor and translate product capabilities into partner-focused solutions.
  • Experience working with MSPs, service providers, distributors, or channel partners, with an understanding of how they build, sell, and deliver technology services to customers.
