We are a private hire and passenger transport company based in Surrey and are looking for an experienced tender/procurement specialist who is very familiar with Surrey County Council, particularly its Home-to-School, SEND and passenger transport procurement processes.
We are specifically looking for someone who already understands how Surrey County Council’s tendering/procurement portal and application process works and can lead and assist us through the process from start to finish.
This is important to us. We are not looking for a general tender writer who will need us to explain the process or who will be learning how Surrey County Council’s system works while completing our application. We need someone experienced who understands what is required and can provide us with clear guidance throughout.
We have previous experience within Surrey County Council school/passenger transport through a different company, and as a result we already have a substantial amount of documentation that may be useful for the new application. This includes policies and procedures such as complaints policies, recruitment processes and other operational/compliance documentation.
We need someone who can review the documentation we already have, identify what can be reused or adapted for the new company, identify anything that is missing, advise us on exactly what additional policies/evidence are required, assist with the portal and application requirements, prepare strong and compliant responses and help us through to final submission.
Previous direct experience with Surrey County Council is strongly preferred. Experience with UK local-authority Home-to-School transport, SEND transport or passenger transport frameworks would also be highly desirable.
