Want to work at the heart of live broadcasting, where what you do really matters?

NEP Connect is looking for a NOC Engineer to join our Network Operations Centre team at MediaCityUK, Salford.

Working in a 24/7 operational environment, you’ll play a key role in keeping live content moving reliably around the world. From monitoring live video and audio signals to troubleshooting technical issues and supporting major broadcasters and live events, this is a role where no two shifts are quite the same.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be part of the team responsible for the day-to-day operation and technical integrity of our services, including:

• Taking control of live events and acting as a key operational contact

• Monitoring and quality checking video and audio signals

• Identifying and troubleshooting technical or service issues

• Monitoring operational systems and taking corrective action when needed

• Working closely with engineering teams, clients and service providers

• Supporting transmission systems through routine testing and preventative maintenance

• Coordinating bookings and services to help ensure seamless delivery

What we’re looking for

You’ll enjoy working in a technical, fast-moving environment and be someone who stays calm when the pressure is on.

Previous experience within broadcast operations, a NOC environment or electronic/broadcast engineering would be a real advantage. An HND or degree in Broadcast/Electronic Engineering is desirable, but equivalent practical experience is equally valuable.

Experience or knowledge of broadcast systems, RF and uplink technology would also be beneficial.

Just as importantly, we’re looking for someone who is:

• A genuine team player

• Curious and keen to solve problems

• Calm, resilient and analytical

• A strong communicator

• Customer-focused

• Comfortable taking ownership
