Description

We’re looking for an OpenStack Cloud Engineer to help build, operate, and optimise the core services of a large‑scale, sovereign cloud platform. You’ll work across Linux systems, cloud infrastructure, automation, and open‑source components to ensure a secure, scalable, and highly available environment.

Freelance cooperation means project-based contracts, part-time or full-time options, and remote work.

  • Hands‑on production experience with OpenStack (especially Cinder and Nova)
  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or Go
  • Deep knowledge of Linux systems administration and cloud infrastructure
  • Experience running Kubernetes in production
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, build management, and release processes
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
  • OpenStack upstream contribution experience is a plus
  • Good command of English (German is a plus)

Nice to have:

  • Experienced in using AI tools in day-to-day workflow
